About Me

I’ve been writing and editing professionally for two decades, in both American and British English.

My career has spanned

• international relief and development,
• public health microbiology,
• forensic science, and
• education,

 … which has given me a lot of practice developing effective communication strategies for a wide variety of audiences.

It also showed me that what I love most about any job, in any area, is getting to the heart of people’s stories, and helping them explain the things that matter to them in ways that matter to others.

So, now, I do that full time!

I hold a Bachelors Degree in Biology, and Masters Degree in Public Health, and am a member of the Association for Business Communication (ABC), the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), and Net Impact.
